Welcome to the Future Foundation 616. We are an anonymous think tank with one simple goal:
FIX EVERYTHING.
We are a collection of protestors, activists, engineers and artists who are simply tired of the state of America and are making our, admittedly small, attempt at fixing what is broken.
Here's what we believe:
- Things are broken right now at at fundamental level that we have never before seen in American society. America has always been an ideal, a striving for something better that has always had issues -- right from the start.
- The fundamental problem in America, when you strip away everything else is inequality and it is rooted in wealth inequality.
- The only way out is through and the current system is, unfortunately, going to have to fall apart for things to get better -- we are that badly broken.
Our initial focus is on two initiatives for bring change to America.
- The 21st Century Victory Gardens Project. America, in the 1940s grew 40% of its fruits and vegetables in back yard gardens using 1940s technology. We think that freeing Americans from the "system" starts with food and it needs to start in our own back yards. We believe that if America could do that 80 years ago that we can do SO MUCH MORE with the resources of the 21st century and we are building Open Source reference designs to enable anyone to follow in our foot steps.
- Tools for Activists and Voters. We've now been building technology to make activists more productive for over a year now and we're just getting started. If you're a serious activist -- the type of person who lives and breathes this stuff, the type of person who goes outside and punches a tree when you can't stand the excesses of the administration -- talk to us.
